Every now and then, someone asks me why I write blogs.
Not in a rude way – more out of curiosity. A few days ago, someone mentioned,
“There are other platforms to have a portfolio, why you writing blogs.”
And I agree. There are.
But I didn’t start blogging because I had to create a portfolio.
I started because I wanted a space where I could think out loud – where my ideas could live somewhere beyond my camera roll or class notes. And over time, it naturally evolved into something more: a personal archive of my growth, perspective, and passion for the world of marketing.
Not Just What I Did – But How I See
Most portfolios show polished deliverables – the final campaign, the cleaned-up dashboard, the glowing testimonial.
But I’ve always found beauty in the in-between moments.
My blog lets me slow down and zoom in. Whether I’m writing about a Times Square ad that made me stop and stare, a spontaneous ferry ride that turned into a case study in storytelling, or the rise of AI mascots – it’s all connected by curiosity. And that, to me, is the work.
It’s not about showing results. It’s just about showing how I think.

My blog – where my thoughts, ideas, and strategy live together.
Where Strategy Meets Story
What I love most about blogging is the freedom to explore.
There’s no character limit. No brief to follow. I can reflect on trends, analyze creative decisions, and occasionally just tell a good story.
It’s the one place where I get to blend the personal with the professional – where I can talk about branding one day and a ferry ride the next, and it still makes sense because it’s my lens.
And if you work in marketing, strategy, or anything creative – you know that lens is everything.
A Living, Breathing Portfolio
I understand that there are platforms designed specifically to showcase your work – and they’re great.
But a blog is different.
It grows with me. It evolves as I evolve.
It doesn’t just say, “Here’s what I’ve done.”
It says, “Here’s what I’ve noticed. Here’s what I’ve learned. Here’s how I’m thinking.”
That nuance matters – especially in a field like marketing, where ideas are currency and perspective is power.

Final Thought
So yes, there are other ways to build a portfolio.
But this blog – this space – is where I feel the most myself as a thinker, a student, and a creator.
And if even one post makes someone pause, relate, or get inspired, then I would say this platform is doing exactly what it’s meant to do.
